ART AFFAIR

Art Affair was held as a part of the celebrations organised for International Day of People with a Disability or in line with Disability Action Week. It was an opportunity for local artists from across the Fraser Coast Region who have a disability to showcase their skills and talents whether this be in the form of a static display or performance.

The concept of Art Affair was to provide a venue for local artists so that they can have their work experienced by the wider population. It also gives the artists the opportunity to place their pieces up for sale as many of them try to make a living from their art. It was open to individuals as well as groups of any age bracket and from any genre including craft, photography, clay work, paintings, wood work, performance art and others.

Art Affair has not occurred over the last couple of years but if you would like to see it happen again then send a message to jule.dewaard@frasercoast.qld.gov.au and register your interest as someone who would like to be involved in organising the event or participating as an artist.

For Art Affair to happen it will need a group of people to show interest in being part of the organising committee.
